Hey! My favorite brand of baby dolls are made of a pvc-free vinyl. Yippee! I have liked Corolle dolls since my daughter was turning one and I was looking for quality dolls for her birthday. I liked the look of them (not creepy) and they had eyes that closed or nice-looking hair. They come with a vanilla scent. How can you beat that?
Here is a great online toy company that also sells Corolle dolls.

Yes, I love Corolle, too. But see healthytoys.org – several Corolle toys apparently do have phthalates (I believe these particular dolls are now discontinued). Does anyone have any info from the company?
Does anyone have info about Madame Alexander dolls?

I am looking for a baby doll with a baby looking face that meets these qualifications:
PVC FREE
BPA FREE
PHYTHALATE FREE
SCENT FREE
My 1/1/2 year old would like a baby that is not just organic cotton. She would like a real looking doll face.
My research has pointed me to the following:
Keptin-JR doll
Under the Nile-Janie and Jack doll (all cloth)
Joys dolls (waldorf dolls)
Palumba toys (doll made in persia)
Kathe Kruse (emma doll/or bath dolls)
Madame ALexander dolls?
Corolle (maybe some)
Can anyone help me?
Theresa

i’ve been looking for PVC free dolls myself. Something to know in regards to Corelle dolls is that BPA-free and phthalate-free does not mean PVC free. PVC is the vinyl used on pretty much any vinyl doll face. BPA and phthalates are added chemicals for pliability and other things. The phthalates are a big concern because they are always leeching out into the air. They can not be kept contained within vinyl. That’s why they’ve been banned in many places. Keep in mind though, only a certain kind of phthalates has been banned, yet there are several others out there that are not banned that are still in use.
There are other hidden pvc’s too…like the pellets in some cloth dolls.
happy hunting everyone! I’m off to check out some of the posted links.
